Galicia
Celtic Heart of Spain, Land of Rain and Saudade
Galicia, in Spain's northwest corner, is the Celtic sibling that Iberia forgot. Its mist-shrouded forests, granite villages, and haunting bagpipe music belong more to Ireland or Brittany than to Mediterranean Spain. The end of the earth (Finis Terrae) for the Romans, Galicia is where the Camino de Santiago reaches its climax at the cathedral that holds the apostle's bones.
