Navarra
Kingdom of the Pyrenees, Land of Running Bulls
Navarra (Nafarroa in Basque) was once an independent kingdom that straddled the Pyrenees, controlling the mountain passes between Spain and France. From the running of the bulls in Pamplona to the beech forests of Irati, from Romanesque bridges to Basque-speaking villages, Navarra is where the warrior traditions of the mountains meet the fertile abundance of the Ebro valley.
