Origin: The House of Moreno traces its lineage back to early Christian settlers in the region, who established themselves as defenders against Moorish incursions.

The House of Moreno was founded in the mid-11th century by Don Fernando Moreno, a knight who played a significant role in the Reconquista. He built Alhama Castle as a stronghold against Muslim forces and solidified his family's status as one of the prominent noble houses of the Region of Murcia. Throughout the following generations, the Morenos expanded their influence through strategic marriages and alliances.
