Setenil de las Bodegas
A village literally built into — and under — the rock. Houses, bars, and shops are carved into overhanging cliffs along the Trejo river gorge, creating streets where the rocky ceiling serves as the roof. It is one of the most extraordinary urban landscapes in Spain.
Tucked into the limestone gorge between Ronda and the Guadalteba valley, Setenil is off the main tourist circuits despite being one of Spain's most photogenic villages.
