Founded by the brave knight Gonzalo de Vargas, the House of Vargas quickly rose to prominence through their martial prowess and loyalty to the Crown. Gonzalo was instrumental in reclaiming lands from the Moors, earning him the title of Count. As the family grew, it became known for its military service and alliances. Notable among them was Count Diego de Vargas, who married Isabella de Alonso, further intertwining the fates of the two noble houses.
