House of Lancaster

Origin: England

The House of Lancaster, a branch of the English Plantagenets, had significant Iberian connections. John of Gaunt, Duke of Lancaster, married Constance of Castile and claimed the Castilian throne, leading an invasion in 1386-1387. His daughter Catherine married Henry III of Castile, bringing Lancastrian blood into the Castilian royal line.
