Origin: The House of Alarcon traces its roots back to the Moors, later converting to Christianity and gaining noble status in the Reconquista.
Emerging as a noble family in the 12th century, the Alarcon family initially owned lands in the southern regions of Spain. Their conversion and subsequent loyalty to the Christian Crown garnered them lands in Madrid, including estates around Villarejo de Salvanés.
