Banū Razīn
“Lords of the mountain fortress”
Origin: Albarracín
The Banū Razīn were a Berber dynasty that ruled the Taifa of Albarracín from the early 11th century. Their mountain fortress of Albarracín was virtually impregnable, allowing them to maintain independence longer than many other taifa kingdoms. The city's distinctive pink-hued architecture dates to their rule.
