The Banū Hūd were an Arab dynasty that ruled the Taifa of Zaragoza from 1018. They established one of the most powerful and culturally vibrant taifa kingdoms in al-Andalus. Under al-Muqtadir, they built the magnificent Aljafería Palace and patronized mathematics, astronomy, and philosophy.
