Origin: Valencia

The Amirids of Valencia were descendants of the powerful al-Mansur Almanzor , the de facto ruler of the Caliphate of Córdoba. After the caliphate's collapse, Abd al-Aziz ibn Amir established the Taifa of Valencia. The kingdom later fell to El Cid, who conquered it in 1094.
